Haha don't you just love friends.......I asked the guy to make me a simple pic promoting the site and well......I guess you can see the results.....I have alot of stuff to cover so lets get started shall we?
I'm pretty sure that all you know about the rumor turned facts that came into effect this past week concerning our beloved Sega company. I wouldn't beleve any of the rumors until I what happened between Sunday and Wednesday of last week. I'll admit a piece of me died when I heard the offical statement from Sega of America speaking of the price drop of the Dreamcast and their plans for the future. I put alot of my time into that system and into that company only to see it fall before my eyes as I watched the Offical statement streamed over the wired.
I pretty much went through the stages of the crackhead getting tryin to stop his obsession from taking his life. Once hearing the news I felt denial, then as it sunk in my head I felt anger, once that passed I felt acceptance and depression, now that has passed i'm currently spending time with my Dreamcast and cherish the moments i've had with Sonic, Wang Tang, Sophitia, riding freely in my taxi doing crazy dashes with Axel, skatin n' paintin the streets with Beat and Mew, swiftly moving through random dungeons with the grace of Sword and Mag Lancher, and who can forget the king of all things evil.......Seaman himself. Sure your saying that well if already own those games you could play them at will but let me tell you fellow gamebrains the fact of knowing that many of these wonderful games won't recieve sequels (or in some cases no sequels on the DC) just burns me.
But the thing that gets me the most is that a large portion of gamers here (but mostly in Japan...Grrr..) were blinded by the advertising of the evil suits currently located at Sony. They shot empty promises into the poor minds of the so-called casual gamers pulling attention away from the hottest system currently out there. And in the end what did it get the poor saps that forked over upwards to and including $1,000!!!...a few shitty launch titles and a DVD player. So you out there that actually bought DVD player/ well DVD player are saying that there will be some good games ready in the Year 2001 huh...well i'd rather wait for the X-Box my friends. If you look at the current X-Box list you will notice that most of the games on the system aren't gonna be for any other system, PC/Dreamcast ports, and most important pretty much any game you can currently or soon to find on shelves for the PS2. Where does that leave Nintendos GameCube, well to be honest I have no clue. All we really seen from those guys is CG/FMV clips and Specs. Don't get me wrong i'm a big fan of Nintendo and I will always have a special in my heart for Nintendo, but I hope that they can pull there self together by E3 time of well dare I say they may go the way of the wind and follow Sega (lets all pray against that).
Nintendos real strong point at the moment is none other than the portable wonder the Gameboy. By the way the GB Advance line is looking very spiffy at the moment. Which brings me to another point, Bandai's Wonder Swan Color is turning up some wonderful material Killer Apps of its own opon the Japanese horison. I'm curious as to the situation of Wonder Swan being brought to the States and I hope Bandai does so Gameboy will have some real comptition.
The next subject thats comes to mind, is the future of SegaNet. As many of you know about SegaNets awesome selection of games thus far (Phantasy Star being the Killer App in this section), and thinking about those gives me a thought of will Sega Net perish along side of its earlier counterparts in X-band, and so on. Some rumors are still running rampant concerning the possiblity of Nintendo or Microsoft maybe going for the rights of SegaNet, which wouldn't be a bad thing if they leave Dreamcast support intact for the time being.
For the rest of Hardcore Dreamcast Gamers still out there this news bit may appeal to you. Blaze has released a wonderful product called DC-X thats for the import pros out there that are tired of the GameShark/ domestic switching discs crap. You just place their disc in the drive load it up and flip in that Jap/Aussie/Euro/ Mars Dreamcast games and let loose. Its only $29.99 GO FOR IT!....
Has anyone seen any Final Fantasy X clips or pics......its bad enough to rip off another game but to copy one of your own creations....thats...well....kinda lame.....If you don't know what i'm talking about well compare the two lead characters from FFVIII and FFX....there ya go.
While i'm on the subject of Square.......thank you!!! Thank you for listening to your money support(fans, buyers, and such) and your choice of bringing Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV (PSOne versions) to the States. Now dare I wish for a Secret of Mana Anthology.....
Well now that I managed to piss off a large amount of people, promote a few products in hope of some freebies, and get a couple of things off my chest I guess i'll let all of you get back to lookin at porn, playin Diablo II, typing with one hand and playing paddleball with the other or what ever floats your boat. Thats it get out of here.....off my lawn NOW!......
