Column #9 By: KeldonWarlord Hello Hello Hello and welcome back to the hard hitting, thumb spliting, Button Mashing, Head cracking, Groove feeling, Love makin, known as the world of Rated Mature! I got some big news items to slew along the crowd so i'll get right to it! ::pushes papers around on the desk:: hum....oh here they are! It is my honor and pleasure to announce the new staff of X-Box Corner to you all! First there is me...since you all know i shall expolain no more. The second member of our little fearsome foursome is the owner and inovator of the Gamebrain Networks, Network Shadow! He deserved to be a member of this team even more than I do for the simple fact of his excellent talents that are soon to be shared to you all once the relaunch happens. The next member of our elite staff is also a fellow gamebrainer, Skeldare. Just like with Network Shadow, Skeldare's hard work and determination has not gone un-noticed by me and fellow freelance writers on the wired. And last but not least, a new face among our little crowd, Konflictboy. I have been in direct contact with thiss character for some time now and I know for a fact that he has a strong passion for the video game industry as do all other members of the staff. Now that our evil lil team has finally been produced, i am now hearby close down the tripod version of X-Box Corner and soon we will relaunch under the guidence of X.B. Net Ventures and we will provide you with all the hard hitting X-Box infomation you can muster! Don't worry I will still update this very column from time to time and i'll say so on the message board when I do!. I'm not sure when the relaunch will happen just yet, but you can expect the following.....
Well now that got that outta the way lets get down to some gaming bizz..... And now for a new feature for the Rated Mature Column....THIS WEEK IN HISTORY.......!! 1998 Eletronic Arts and Square Announce there merge to create multipule titles under the names "Square/EA" and "EA/Square". This Has been This Week in History While I'm on the subject of Square, many of you may know of the problems with Final Fantasy Chroncles. It appears that Final Fantasy IV's disc appears not to work with some setups. Well I have been running the game on a fossil Playstation made back in 96 and it runs fine. From what I can tell the problem is apparently random issue. In more news that includes Square and the series, Tokyo Pop has decided to release the soundtracks from both of the games in the U.S. I am glad to hear that there giving so many game soundtracks a chance to be popular here in the States. Konami's gift to the Horror genre Silent Hill 2, has been renamed. The X-Box version of the sequel will be titled Silent Hill 2: Directors Cut. The game will have unseen footage and a little extra gameplay for all to enjoy! I was bored one night last week so I started looking through webpage after webpage to try and confirm the exact number of games set for release when the X-Box and Game Cube launches. Although we are still 4 months away from zero time, I think I got a decent number to go by for each. I happen to find 8 confirmed launch titles for the Game Cube including Super Monkey Ball, Star Fox Adventures, Super Smash Bros Melee, and Luigi's Mansion. For the X-Box I have already found 18 launch titles including Halo, DOA 3, WWF Raw Is War, Gun Valkyrie, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X(THPS 3 will hit in March with online play). The system war really starting to heat up and with no end coming soon. Everyday X-Box gets more and more games confirmed by companies that you wouldn't expect to make games for the system! The GameCube is slowly building the hype of Space World by sliping out small videos and screens from its various games. Sony is counter attacking by adding many screens as well across the wired and they are using the power of the Nintendo generation to get behind there system. Hell even Dreamcast is still kicking live and well in the industry too! They just released Sonic Adventure 2 and the Sega Smash Pack vol 1 , plus they started a very creepy email promotion for Out Trigger. Also I can't forget the the fact that Shenmue II, Propeller Arena, and Alien Front Online is still on the way! yup yup we gpot good times ahead of us guys. Speaking of good times, I must ask you to tune in next week for a special breakdown of each console, a few games for them, and I will discuss the the future to come! Yeah Yeah I know I mentions something about that last week but I had to delay it so I could perfect all of my thoughts. I'm sorry for the sloppy shortness of this weeks episode Gamebrainers and X-Headz but I have alot of work on my hand not to mention the relaunch of xboxcorner coming soon as well. So with all that said and done I ask you to please stick around because its just starting to get more interesting around here! So until next time, I bid you all farewell! |
